Privacy Policy
Effective Date: March 2, 2026 · Last Updated: March 2, 2026
The short version: Your creative work belongs to you. We do not sell your data, we do not train AI models on your content, and we do not share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. You can download everything and delete your account at any time.
1. Who We Are
Sakme is a creative workspace operated by Agent-C LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). Sakme helps creators develop their work through AI-assisted tools that learn and adapt to each creator's voice and creative preferences.
For questions about this policy, contact us at privacy@sakme.ai.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Authentication data: Email address, name, and profile photo provided through Google OAuth or other sign-in methods
- Subscription data: Billing information processed through our payment provider (Paddle). We do not store credit card numbers directly.
2.2 Creative Content
When you use Sakme, we store:
- Your creative work: Projects, scenes, story elements, and creative outputs you generate
- Your Memory (Codex): Knowledge crystallized from your creative sessions, organized in trust tiers you control
- Voice calibration data: Preferences about your creative voice, developed through tournament selections
- Creative decisions: Choices you make during creation (accept, reject, modify) that help your Alter Ego understand your taste
2.3 Connected Sources
When you connect external services (Gmail, Google Drive, YouTube, Pinterest, Readwise, NotebookLM), we:
- Access only the data types you explicitly authorize through OAuth consent screens
- Store metadata and extracted insights locally in your account — not copies of the original content
- Use read-only access wherever possible
- Allow you to disconnect any source at any time, which stops all future data access
2.4 Usage Data
We collect minimal technical data to operate the service:
- Session metadata (login times, feature usage patterns)
- Error logs for debugging (anonymized within 30 days)
- Performance metrics (response times, completion rates)
We do not use third-party analytics trackers, advertising pixels, or fingerprinting technologies.
3. How We Use Your Information
| Purpose | Data Used | Legal Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Provide the Sakme service | Account info, creative content | Contract performance |
| Personalize your Alter Ego | Creative decisions, voice data | Contract performance + consent |
| Crystallize knowledge into your Memory | Session content, creative decisions | Consent (toggleable in Settings) |
| Process payments | Billing data (via Paddle) | Contract performance |
| Improve the service | Anonymized usage metrics | Legitimate interest |
| Send service notifications | Email, notification preferences | Contract performance + consent |
4. What We Never Do
We make the following commitments:
- We never sell your data — to anyone, for any reason, under any circumstances.
- We never train AI models on your content — your creative work is yours. It is not used to improve models for other users. AI processing happens in real-time for your benefit only.
- We never share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
- We never access your connected sources beyond the specific permissions you granted.
- We never aggregate your creative data across users. Each account is an isolated environment.
5. Data Storage and Security
5.1 Where We Store Data
Your data is stored on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure in the United States. All data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3).
5.2 Tenant Isolation
Each Sakme account operates as an isolated tenant. Your creative data, Memory, and Alter Ego configuration are stored in dedicated, tenant-scoped database partitions. No data crosses between accounts.
5.3 AI Processing
When your creative content is processed by AI models (currently Google Gemini and, optionally, models you provide via BYOK — Bring Your Own Key), the content is:
- Sent to the AI provider only for real-time processing of your request
- Not retained by the AI provider beyond the processing window (per Google's API data usage policies)
- Not used to train or improve the AI provider's models
5.4 Governance Layer
Sakme includes a narrative governance system (internally called the Governor) that reviews creative outputs for quality and consistency. This processing happens entirely within our infrastructure — no creative content is sent to external services for governance purposes.
6. Your Rights and Controls
6.1 Access and Download
You can download all of your data at any time through Settings → Data Management → Export All Data. The export includes:
- All creative projects and scenes
- Your complete Memory (Codex) with trust tier annotations
- Voice calibration data and creative decision history
- Alter Ego configuration and growth metrics
- Connected source metadata
- Notification preferences and account settings
The export is delivered as a portable JSON archive. Individual projects can also be exported in standard creative formats (Fountain, manuscript).
6.2 Deletion
You can delete your account through Settings → Data Management → Delete Account. Upon deletion:
- All account data is permanently removed within 30 days
- All creative content, Memory, and Alter Ego data is destroyed
- All connected source authorizations are revoked
- Billing subscriptions are cancelled
- Anonymized, aggregated usage statistics (which cannot identify you) may be retained
Creative Bundles and Blockchain Provenance: If you have published creative work as provenance-anchored bundles on a blockchain smart contract, those on-chain records are immutable by design — they cannot be deleted by us or anyone. However, the personal keys that prove your authorship and grant access to the bundle contents are stored in your Sakme account. When you delete your account, these keys are destroyed, making the on-chain bundles inaccessible. The blockchain records will remain as cryptographic artifacts with no usable content and no link to your identity. This is the same principle as losing the key to an encrypted file — the file exists, but it is unreadable.
6.3 Correction
You can update your account information, Alter Ego settings, and preferences at any time through the Settings panel.
6.4 Crystallization Consent
The process of crystallizing your creative decisions into your Memory is controlled by a toggle in Settings → Privacy → Crystallization Consent. When disabled, your sessions are processed in real-time but no persistent self-knowledge is accumulated. You can disable this at any time without losing previously crystallized knowledge.
6.5 Data Retention
You control how long session data is retained through Settings → Privacy → Data Retention (configurable from 30 to 365 days). Crystallized knowledge in your Memory persists until you explicitly delete it or your account.
6.6 Connected Source Control
You can view, disconnect, or reconnect any external data source through Settings → Connectors. Disconnecting a source immediately revokes Sakme's access and stops all future data retrieval from that service.
7. Cookies and Tracking
Sakme uses only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use:
- Advertising cookies
- Third-party tracking pixels
- Analytics services that share data with third parties
- Browser fingerprinting
8. Children's Privacy
Sakme is not intended for users under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 16, we will delete it promptly.
9. International Data Transfers
If you are located outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States where our servers are hosted. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers, including compliance with applicable data protection regulations.
10. Third-Party Services
Sakme integrates with the following categories of third-party services:
| Service Category | Purpose | Data Shared |
|---|---|---|
| AI Model Providers (Google Gemini) | Creative content generation | Prompt content for real-time processing only |
| Payment Processing (Paddle) | Subscription billing | Billing information only |
| Authentication (Firebase Auth) | Account sign-in | Email, name (from OAuth provider) |
| Cloud Infrastructure (Google Cloud) | Data storage and compute | All account data (encrypted) |
| Connected Sources (user-authorized) | Content ingestion | Read access as authorized by user |
11. Open-Source Engine
Sakme is built on Seitiate, an open-source creative engine (seitiate.com) licensed under AGPL-3.0. The open-source engine can be self-hosted by developers who want full control over their data. When you use the managed Sakme service, you benefit from the same engine with professional hosting, managed updates, and the Sakme experience layer.
12. Changes to This Policy
We will notify you of material changes to this policy via email and/or an in-app notification at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of Sakme after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
